Meet our team
Claire
Trustee
Claire has been working as an independent advocate for over twenty years. Claire currently leads an advocacy service for a local charity who provide specialist support for survivors of sexual abuse.
In addition to her professional career Claire has a love for Art, and she completed her Master's degree in Art History in 2014. She also commenced a qualification in Therapeutic Life Story Work in 2023.
Claire's daughter received her diagnosis of autism in 2015 when she was 15. Claire has recently become a trustee having observed the positive difference Aurum has made in her daughter's life, and the lives of other women and girls.
Clare
Women's and Girls' Group Lead
Clare brings more than 20 years of experience as a teacher and deputy headteacher, alongside a commitment to supporting autistic young people and adults. Her previous role as a Social Inclusion Officer for a local authority gave her unique insights into the challenges faced by autistic children and their families.
Clare has completed a range of courses focused on autism and special educational needs, and her personal connection - supporting her youngest daughter who is currently awaiting an assessment - further strengthens her understanding and empathy.
She is delighted to be part of Aurum and passionate about making a meaningful difference to autistic young people and adults.
Daisy
Girls' Group Support
Daisy received her autism diagnosis in 2022. She helps with the girl's group and enjoys seeing the girls grow in confidence. Daisy is keen to build awareness of autism.
Dani
Girls' Group Support
Dani is autistic and knows how valuable it is to find a space where you can simply be yourself. After experiencing the positive impact of Aurum’s women’s group, she’s keen to help create that same understanding and encouragement for younger autistic girls.
Danielle
Women's and Girls' Group Lead
Danielle has spent the past 18 years working within the education sector before establishing her own tutoring business. Throughout her career, she has held a range of leadership positions, including: Assistant Headteacher, Lead Practitioner and Head of Year.
Danielle’s personal experience deepened in October 2025 when her son received a diagnosis of autism. This has given her valuable insight into neurodiversity from a personal perspective. Danielle is also currently training to be a qualified counsellor, with the intention of specialising in working with autistic teenagers and young adults.
Elaine
Parent Group Lead
Elaine is an experienced mentor and coach. She has over 13 years' experience supporting neurodivergent adults working within an autism charity. Elaine has specialised in offering employment support, for people seeking employment and for those already employed. She has considerable experience offering information, advice and guidance and facilitating social discussion groups for autistic adults. She has recently completed a degree in counselling, alongside working in a Further Education college as pastoral support.
Liz
Administration Support
Liz is a business operations specialist working on recruitment, finances and general administration support.
She has an MSc in Psychology and enjoys various crafts.
Natalie
Trustee, Women's and Girls' Group Lead
Natalie received her diagnosis of autism in 2018. She has a PhD in Psychology and over 13 years experience working alongside autistic people and people experiencing mental health difficulties in inpatient and community settings. She is also a Psychotherapist, and has a particular interest in supporting individuals who have experienced trauma.
Oona
Women's Group Lead
Oona is an occupational therapist with experience in adult community health and mental health teams, as well as inpatient mental health services. She specialises in supporting individuals with learning disabilities and neurodivergent profiles, promoting autonomy, wellbeing, and meaningful participation in everyday life. As a parent of a daughter awaiting autism assessment, she brings both professional expertise and personal understanding to her work with neurodiverse individuals and families.
Sara
Online Discussion Group Lead
Sara is autistic with several other autistic people in her family. She works with another autism charity leading an autistic women’s discussion group and a parenting group for autistic parents, and additionally works as a trainer and autism specialist mentor. She has a PGDip in Autism (Adults) and is part way through a PhD at the University of Birmingham exploring the experiences of autistic people accessing maternity services. She is committed to improving services for autistic people.
Sian
Girls' Group Support
Sian was diagnosed with Autism in 2022 and joined Aurum in 2023. She has hugely benefitted from meeting other like minded women and the support the group has provided.
Susan
Trustee
Susan is a chartered accountant and tax adviser who runs her own practice in Malvern, having previously worked for a number of years at KPMG and PwC.
Since her daughter’s diagnosis, Susan has seen at first hand the excellent range of much needed support provided by Aurum and as a member of the Committee is delighted to support its work.
Victoria
Yoga Instructor
Victoria is a teacher fuelled by an insatiable curiosity. With a passion for nature, adventure, and creativity, she inspires playful exploration and intuitive guidance within her offerings. Her classes provide a journey into body movement and mental empowerment, focusing on building strength, flexibility, mental clarity and connection. She offers adaptations and modifications, ensuring a supportive environment where students can honour their unique practice and connect with their inner selves and the world around them.
